Stewart Rawson Electrical is an NICEIC approved contractor, founded in 2010. We work from Jubilee Manor, Sun Lane, on the Wrexham Industrial Estate. New installation work is designed and certified to the current 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), not the withdrawn 17th Edition.
We install lighting. We are not a lighting-design studio. If you already know what you want fitted, that is enough to quote. Indoor lighting
Indoor lighting on this page is the install: replacing a fitting, putting in recessed lights, adding switching, or running a new lighting circuit so the room actually has light where you use it. Houses, flats, shops and offices are the same electrical job, with a different layout in front of us.
A new circuit still has to be designed so the existing board, earthing and cable routes can take it. If the board cannot take another lighting circuit safely, the honest answer is a consumer unit upgrade, not another adaptor. That domestic work is on the domestic electrician page. We will not invent a typical number of downlights, a typical room layout, or a typical cost on this page. The quote depends on the rooms and the installation we are looking at.
Outdoor lighting
Outdoor lighting is the same electricians, not a different company. Garden feature lighting, security lights, and other external lights on a house or a workplace are the outdoor work we do. We fit them, wire them, and test them.
How a security light is switched — dusk, a timer, a sensor, or a manual override — is part of the install, not a separate product. We will not copy old wattage figures onto this page, or pretend every drive and garden needs the same fitting. What is outside, how it is used, and what the existing supply can take, decide the quote.
CCTV and intruder alarms are not lighting. If you also need those, that work sits with SR Security.
Advice on fittings, not a lighting studio
We can work with you, or with a designer or builder you already have, on which fittings will work on the circuits, what the 18th Edition requires, and whether the existing installation can take the extra load. That is electrician advice on specification and the regulations. It is not an architectural lighting practice, a lux survey as a product, or a showroom.

When the work is a new installation, you should receive the certificates that go with it, not only a verbal confirmation.
